FORMWORK, FALSEWORK AND SHORING FOR AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION
RMD Kwikform has a range of formwork and falsework systems to support multiple structures on any airport construction project; these include bespoke design of temporary works systems. For tunnel construction, we have designed multiple travelling formwork systems to support retaining walls of varying heights. For more unique structures such as the curved steel arches in Abu Dhabi Airport, we provided a heavy-duty propping system; and for mid to high rise structures our core-forming and debris protection systems ensure both safety and productivity.
BIM & VISUALISATION TOOLS
Due to the sheer scale and variety of structures on any airport construction project, early collaboration and a close partnership with our customers and contractors is vital. At pre-tender stage, or as early in the process as possible, RMD Kwikform’s engineers will work with the project team to understand the structures, construction phases and potential challenges on site. With this information, our engineers will design bespoke formwork and falsework solutions for any required application. These designs can then be viewed through our 3D visualisation tool, LocusEye. Here, the project team can see a real-life representation of how equipment will be erected on site. Once designs are finalised, RMD Kwikform has the capabilities to generate BIM-compliant models that can be transferred to our customers, contractors and clients.
