Half Tunnel Forms are positioned between cast kickers and wall form ties, spacer units are loosely installed. Once the required length of formwork is installed, it is adjusted for line and level using the central vertical turnbuckles and leveling screws.
Wall reinforcement, door opening forms and electrical conduits are positioned and fixed in place, before the adjacent tunnel form is positioned.
Sleeved RMD Kwikform Rapid Bar Tie is used and reused for connecting wall panels together, soffit make-up pieces are installed where necessary. A connecting turnbuckle is adjusted to maintain accurate location and grout tightness between make-up piece and steel soffit form. Slab reinforcement and stop end forms are now installed.
Accurate spacing on the top of wall formwork is achieved by the installation of cruciform pre-cast concrete spacer blocks, which support kicker forms for the next level of construction and provide a useful and accurate level for screeding the floor slabs during concrete operations.
